“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” The Psalmist declares the importance of knowing God's word. Truly, what the psalmist speaks of is a blessing to us from God. By this “lamp” and “light”, God provides guidance to all those who would follow Him as a father guides his children. In the New Testament, Paul taught that all scripture is God-breathed and that through God’s word we can be fully equipped to do every good work (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
However, for us to allow this “lamp” to “light” our path, we must have a good understanding of God’s word. We hope that these resources will helpful to you in that regard. We realize that sometimes it is necessary for some to assist others in their understanding of the scriptures (Acts 8:30-31). If you desire a personal Bible study to aid in your understanding, the members of the church at Chipley stand ready to assist you.
